Inspired By The Limousin

A bespoke service for Limousin breeders around the world.

Mark & Helen Lewis moved to France in October 2017 when they made a decision to retire early from farming in the UK.
This decision was made easily after they had enjoyed many years of travelling to the Limousin region of France to purchase new Limousin genetics for their Redland Limousin Herd in the UK.

Over the years they had made many business contacts and friendships linked to the Limousin Breed. Their passion for the breed led to them setting up a new enterprise, ‘Lewis Bovine Consultancy’ providing a bespoke service for Limousin breeders around the world.

As they are still too young to fully retire, they designed the business to support Limousin breeders in the UK and Ireland to assist with sourcing new genetics for their customer’s herds. They found the niche market when fellow breeders had asked them to source Limousin cattle on their behalf and liaise with the recognised organisations operating in the Limousin Region. They also assist with the understanding of exporting and importing animals from France into the UK. The links between the Herd Book of France and the Herd book of the UK & Ireland and the Bio security of importing and exporting live animals.

In August 2017 they purchased 2 properties on the edge of the Perigord National Park.
This includes a home for themselves and next door, a self-contained Gite business at La Vue.
The property is let for regular holiday vacations, for people wishing to escape to the quiet country side to unwind from their hectic working lives. They can relax and unwind in the beautiful quiet countryside.

A bespoke service is also provided for people wishing to purchase new Limousin Genetics.
